The
History of Franconia UMC Read a bit about the 112-year history of FUMC.
About the Franconia, Virginia Community
Located in Fairfax County, Franconia had its beginnings as a
collection of farms clustered around a train stop on the Orange and Alexandria Railroad, which was built shortly after
the Civil War. Franconia borders the city of Alexandria to
its north. South of Franconia is the planned community of Kingstowne, and central Springfield. For
