Stellar VBS is next week!
We still have openings for our Franconia UMC Vacation Bible School happening next week July 10-14 from 9:00 a.m. to noon. This star and space themed VBS will teach children the importance of shining Jesus’ light in the world and sharing God’s love. We will use experiments, crafts, games, cool snacks, kid videos and of course, our Bible adventure to help children see how they can shine Jesus’ light into the world. Did She Say Water Balloons?
This past Sunday Pastor Melissa mentioned there might be water balloons at the ice cream social we will be having after VBS Sunday on July 16 at 10:00 a.m. Here is what she didn’t mention:
Last year as our mission project for VBS we challenged the children to raise the funds for 1,000 meals for our Rise Against Hunger event in October. This year we are challenging them to raise the funds for 2,000 meals. For every 100 meals they achieve, one water balloon will be thrown
at the “winner.” The children will be voting with their donations between Ms. Sarah, Myself and Pastor Melissa.
We do not want you to miss out on the fun. If you would like to contribute to the mission project, you can make a donation this Sunday and designate who you wish to get the balloons.
We will announce the “winner” at the VBS service on Sunday, July 16, 2023. We will be throwing the balloons after we have enjoyed our ice cream at the social.
