International Women’s Day is March 8, 2023. Women’s day started as a national day in the U.S. in 1909 and was marked as an international day at an international women’s conference in 1911. The United Nations first recognized it in 1975. Today, International Women’s Day is a day to honor women and is celebrated in many countries. Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner on Tuesday, February 21 from 5:00-7:30 p.m. in Cokesbury Hall. Shrove Tuesday has 2 other names: Fat Tuesday, and Mardi Gras. So we hope you’ll come enjoy some pancakes with us. All donations go to support our youth for their summer mission trip.  Reservations are appreciated for those dining in, or we will have the option for takeaway dinners for those unable or uncomfortable with eating around others. Leadership Training Offered by The Northern Virginia (NoVA) District

The Northern Virginia (NoVA) District is hosting a two-day training event for laity on Fri-Sat, April 14-15, at Herndon UMC.  Five classes are being offered, covering a broad range of ministry topics.
