Music Ministry  All are invited to the Woodbridge Music Club Choir Workshop, Lecture and Recital on Saturday, September 30 at St. Paul United Methodist Church (1400 G Street, Woodbridge, VA 22191). The following choirs will sing music composed or arranged by Mark Hayes, an award-winning composer, arranger, concert pianist and conductor: St. Paul UMC Chancel Choir, Franconia UMC Chancel Choir, and New Dominion Choraliers.  The choir workshop is between 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. and the Lecture and Recital is at 7:30 p.m.

Canned goods for Rising Hope  Once again, Franconia UMC will provide Rising Hope’s food pantry with 400 canned vegetables and soup for Thanksgiving. Donations may be dropped off in Cokesbury Hall (look for the bins labeled “Rising Hope”) by Sunday, October 1.  Monetary donations are always appreciated, as are gift cards for Giant or Wegmans. World Communion Sunday and Rise Against Hunger Event  Our sixth annual Rise Against Hunger event is scheduled for Sunday, October 1 at 11:30 a.m. in Cokesbury Hall. We are planning to put together approximately 15,000 meals. There will be three shifts – set up, meal packaging, and clean up.
