2022 Rise Against Hunger Sign Up

Our fifth annual Rise Against Hunger event is scheduled for Sunday, October 2 at 11:30 a.m. in Cokesbury Hall. We are planning to put together approximately 15,000 meals. There will be one shift for meal packaging, plus a shift for setting up. We will also need volunteers to help with cleanup afterward. Youth News

Youth will NOT meet this Thursday, due to the Church Council meeting at the same time. INSTEAD, the Support Squad of Franconia UMC will have its first meeting, as we support our very one Shea Porter-Miller at his band competition on Saturday. We will meet at Colgan High School at 11 a.m. outside the ticket booth and sit together to cheer on Shea!  You’ll need money for lunch (there will be food options at the school). Time for Trunk or Treat!

One of our more popular community outreaches is our Trunk or Treat event. This year we are happy to once again offer this to the children in our community. It will be on Saturday, October 22 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.  We have several games, crafts and balloon animals planned in addition to the treats given at the cars.
