September 10th begins National Suicide Prevention Week. Suicide is such an important concern that this Sunday is going to be Suicide Prevention Sunday. We will have a special message focused on suicide and suicide prevention. Canned goods for Rising Hope

Canned goods for Rising Hope  Once again, Franconia UMC will provide Rising Hope’s food pantry with 400 canned vegetables and soup for Thanksgiving. Donations may be dropped off in Cokesbury Hall (look for the bins labeled “Rising Hope”) by Sunday, October 1.  Monetary donations are always appreciated, as are gift cards for Giant or Wegmans. World Communion Sunday and Rise Against Hunger Event

World Communion Sunday and Rise Against Hunger Event  Our sixth annual Rise Against Hunger event is scheduled for Sunday, October 1 at 11:30 a.m. in Cokesbury Hall. We are planning to put together approximately 15,000 meals. There will be three shifts – set up, meal packaging, and clean up. Children and Youth Updates

Children and Youth Updates  Living IT! (Our tween group for 4th through 6th graders) will meet for the first time this season Friday, August 25, from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. in the stage room. Children’s Chimes will begin rehearsals this coming Sunday, August 27 at 10:15 a.m. in the stage room. This group is for children in grades 2-6. No music experience is needed.
