06/01: Indoor, In-Person Worship Returns to Franconia UMC!

Due to the improved Covid-19 outlook and updated requirements from the Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church, the Healthy Church Team has made the decision to move our in-person worship service to the Sanctuary.  Those plans have now been approved by the District Superintendent.  Beginning June 13th at 10 AM, we invite you to come and praise God as we gather in our sanctuary together for the first time in fifteen months. Pocket Prayer Quilts That Mean a Lot Imagine our young soldiers, many of them freshly out of basic training and never before having traveled very far from home — and then learning their first duty assignment is Kuwait, Baghdad, or Afghanistan. Or imagine being assigned hours of patrol, working in absolute silence in the dark, alone.

The Worship Committee is exploring service options for when the Healthy Church Team discerns that we can offer safe and meaningful in-person worship opportunities (this will be June at the earliest).

032021: Franconia UMC Music Program Presents Palm Sunday Cantata

Reminder that our Palm Sunday cantata will be presented with this week’s worship opportunity, available beginning at 10 a.m. here on our website, our FaceBook page or our YouTube channel. Directed by Franconia UMC’s Director of Music Ministry, the cantata, No Other Lamb, No Other Name with Choral Music by Jay Althouse, will feature soloists and these Franconia UMC ensembles: The Chancel Choir and The Bells of Praise.
