June Shuffett agreed to become our permanent accompanist after spending the summer of 2018 as our substitute. June offically joined the staff in September 2018 and serves as choir accompanist as well as pianist and organist for the services. She also teaches private piano lessons.
A native of Bangkok, Thailand, June is has lived in the United States for many years and is a proud American citizen. She has served as organist, pianists and choir director at a variety of churches throughout northern Virginia. June holds two degrees from the University of Maryland: both a Bachelor and Master of Music in piano performance with a minor in voice. She has also earned a graduate diploma in church music from the Shenandoah Conservatory of Music, and has studied the organ privately with Robert Grogan of the National Cathedral.
June is married and has two grown children. She has also been blessed with a grandson.
