Turkey Dinner Talk

Mark your calendars. On Sunday, November 20th starting at 4:00 p.m., we will distribute free and delicious Thanksgiving meals. Everyone is welcome to join in this community event. Come to the Stage Room to pick up a meal. Limited seating will be available for those who need a warm and safe place to eat.

Coffee and Conversation

Coffee and Conversation is a group that meets Sunday mornings from 10:15 a.m.-10:45 a.m. in Cokesbury Hall. We watch a short film narrated by Rob Bell, former pastor of Mars Hill Church in Michigan and author of Love Wins. Each video is less than 14 minutes and blends everyday events with a discussion about God. This week (Nov. 13, 2022) we will watch “Noise.” Why is silence so hard to deal with? Why is it so much easier for us…

Youth news

Confirmation is coming! To all parents and youth 6th grade and up! If you are a youth or know of one who is 6th grade or above and has not completed confirmation, please let Sarah Chambers know! Confirmation begins the Sunday after Ash Wednesday and ends on Pentecost! We meet weekly on Sundays to eat, play games, and learn more about what it means to be a part of the United Methodist Church. We follow the curriculum “Confirm” by Cokesbury. Please…

New SALT Study

In order to prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ, the SALT Bible Study group will begin a new four-lesson Advent study Wednesday, November 16 at 10:30 a.m. on Zoom. The link is on the church calendar. For centuries, Christians have turned to the story and message of John the Baptist in the weeks leading up to Christmas. In Prepare the Way for the Lord: Advent and the Message of John the Baptist, best-selling author and pastor Adam Hamilton explores…

A Night in Bethlehem

It’s finally time to sign up for roles in A Night in Bethlehem!  This beloved annual tradition is where we transform our back parking lot into first-century Bethlehem on the night our Savior was born. The event will take place on Saturday, December 3, from 4 p.m.- 6 p.m.  We need volunteers to run shops, play villagers, and to help clean up!  (Volunteers will need to arrive between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to set up.) Please go to this…

Trunk or Treat was a blast!

Thank you to all who helped to make Trunk or Treat happen this year! We really appreciate those who donated candy, volunteered to run the games, ran registration, made balloon animals and those who decorated their cars and passed out candy. This may have been our biggest outreach yet and it could not have happened without your support. We had over 450 people participate and 42 volunteers. What an incredible outreach event! Thank you!

Your Chance to Help Beautify Your Church

Are you willing to consider pitching in on Saturday, November 12, anytime between 9 a.m. and noon? We’re hosting an exhilarating church workday – and we need volunteers. The work itself is relatively light but widespread, including weeding, trimming, and mulching the beds around the church and parsonage as well as doing some much-needed cleaning inside the church. There will be something for all ages. Volunteers are preferred but we’re willing to consider taking temporary hostages. Please contact Linda Biscardo…
